The JROTC program provides a four-year, sequential program of instruction that emphasizes aerospace science, leadership education, and health and wellness. Course work also includes military history, customs and courtesies, drill and ceremonies and building upon students’ character, self-confidence and self-discipline – qualities that are necessary to thrive in any career. While students are not required to join the military, they are eligible and will receive special recognition for having served as a cadet at the high school level. College bound students can compete for an Air Force Academy nomination or an Air Force ROTC scholarship through their Air Force Junior ROTC unit.
